The Crowne Plaza Malpensa is an okay place to stay if you need to get to the airport, but I would not recommend it for anyone who wants to see Milan or eat anywhere besides the hotel restaurant. We were there in May 2008. We took one of the shuttles from Milano Centrale out to Malpensa and waited for the hotel shuttle. And we waited. Waited some more. Tried calling the hotel from the airport but number hotel had given us was no good. So we found the shuttle connecting terminals 1 and 2, and the shuttle bus driver took us closer to the hotel. We still had to walk half a mile or more through this strange industrial town to get to the hotel. Luckily it was dusk and not dark yet.

The hotel is clean and nice - very new. Food was average at best, and of course way overpriced. I wanted to print our boarding passes and they wanted to charge me 5 euros to use the computer for 5 minutes. Once they saw we only used the computer for a few minutes they did waive the charge.

The following morning we took the shuttle to the airport. Get in line early - it fills up fast. I would only recommend this hotel if you have an early flight out of Malpensa.
